She is a beautiful woman called Lalalanda the 'secretary' of the 'master' whose name sounds like Chewbacca but turns out to be Tiu Bakker. Apparently he leaves his family behind when he visits Kolokon. To judge from the 'secretary' this would not be surprising. She learns that the 'master' is happy to entertain them with pre-dinner refreshment as soon as they have changed. They exchange their respective information, and Kalmer asks T'Skar if she has seen anywhere decent to acquire some suitable raiment for dinner. Setting out for the shops, they discuss plans. "First and foremost, we should just enjoy Tiu Bakker's kind hospitality." Says Kalmer. "And at the same time, a little networking could well come in handy, especially for when we eventually visit Memtuz, Bakker's home town. Malchik Posted August 29, 2006 Author Share Posted August 29, 2006 The emporium for Ippikander had a great many enormously expensive clothes but those on display were too casual for a formal dinner. There were a few clothes on display in other stores. Papred's was the largest edifice but Memtuz itself had a few items on offer. They were satin and silk and comprised loose tunics over very baggy breeches, gold belts and slippers that curled up at the toes and little caps that fitted close to the skull. Hearing that the party is mixed she says "I'll show you what Memtuz women wear but Tye will have to help with the men. " Tye is a youth of 20, exceptionally good looking and well aware of that fact. He is wearing clothes so tight nothing is left to the imagination and t'skar has to wonder if he is ruining his chance of parenthood. His eyes make it clear that he can be available, if she can afford him. Quite why it needs two is not obvious. Formal wear in Memtuz constitutes severe black robe with gold braiding at the neck and hem for men and more elaborate patterns for women, though still in black and gold. OC -> "Hmm that's quite expensive.." Tiax says when he hears that real gold is used in the clothing. OOC -> I assume that conjuration of real gold is impossible.. (even if it isn't, isn't that something for an alchemist?) OC -> "Would it 'hurt' Mr. Bakker to much if we put it on his tab?" Tiax asks to Kalmer and T'Skar. OOC -> Personal affairs keep MordredK from posting.. Last I heard he was very busy.. She does not know the name of the visitor. "Tiu is always asking people to dine with him if they have done him some small service or other. He likes to talk." The young man laughs. "Among other things." You return to the house and hurry to prepare for dinner. When you join your host he has with him a man of middle years dressed in a black robe embossed with shiny jet sequins.
