karkarinus
(ooc> Kalmer's intention is thus: ) ic> Kalmer blocks the attack to his head with his left hand, at the same time jumping to avoid the attack to his ankles and bringing his right-hand stave down to shatter the left shoulder blade of the skeletal warrior. Kalmer has some experience of similar weapons, and they are ideal for breaking bones at key points of the body. Hopefully, the skeleton's lack of flesh will be to Kalmer's advantage in this kind of attack... ooc> on holiday for 2 weeks, and afk for at least the first. If Kalmer dies, please bury him in a K-shaped box in a secluded part of Ippikander beach ;) Otherwise, sensible use of him is allowed :)
Malchik
The skeleton dodges the blow to the shoulder, swirling the stick in its left hand 360 degrees. The right hand stick is pulled back to deliver a punch to the chest. OOC> Unless someone else wants to post on Kalmer's behalf, we'll have to await his return. phawk69
Kalmer pivots left to avoid the incoming fist, and strikes with his left stick on the now extended right arm. He holds his right stick in a defensive position, ready to block any incoming attacks from his opponents left stick.
Malchik
The skeleton's thrust was a feint designed to unbalance his opposition. He now spins both sticks very rapidly and advances towards Kalmer.
karkarinus
Kalmer throws himself to the ground and, rolling backwards between the skeleton's legs, thrusts his staves upwards through the gaps between its ribs. Standing up swiftly behind it, he wrenches the staves in opposite directions, so as to split and shatter his opponent's ribcage... (ooc> hi guys, I'm back. Thanks for not killing Kalmer... yet  )
Malchik
OOC> He he, try to do that quickly with two largish sticks sometime. You might have to use a pretend skeleton. The skeleton leaps out of the way and spins to face the supine Kalmer jabbing the left stick at Kalmer's stomach. The right is held steady. karkarinus
(ooc> afk these are like escrima sticks and therefore it wouldn't be that hard if you could find an animate skeleton to practise on. If I am wrong, and they resemble jo sticks, then Kalmer will have to rethink his strategy  ) Kalmer springs to his feet and turns to face the skeleton in a defensive stance. As the skeleton's left stick jabs at his stomach, he brings his own right down onto the skeleton's elbow joint, while simultaneously guarding with his left against the skeleton's right. Malchik
The skeleton skips nimbly away and then puts his sticks down. "You cannot beat me but you avoided three attacks. That is good enough. Here is your key piece." The skeleton vanishes. You make your way to room three where the room is set up like a classroom. At the back a small man is writing on the board. He turns as you enter. "Aha. You are looking for a test? A simple one then. You visit a strange new world. The world has two kinds of people, Knights and Knaves. Knights always tell the truth and Knaves always lie. Awkwardly the world also contains werewolves and these may be either Knights or Knaves by day. You meet three people. Alfonz says: At least one of the three of us is a knave. Benedict! says: Callum is a knight. You know that exactly one is a werewolf and that he is also a knight, who is the werewolf?"
Abramul
(To the group)"well, it's certain that one is a Knave, and that Alfonz is a Knight. If Alfonz were a Knave, his statement would have to be false, and if his statement were false, that would mean there were no Knaves (<1), but only knaves make false statements. So, either Benedict! is a Knave, Callum is, or both are. If Benedict!'s claim is true, all three would be Knights, so Benedict! must be a Knave. And since his claim is false, Callum must be a Knave too. So, of the three, only Alfonz is a Knight...and therefore, he must be the werewolf. Do you agree?" Malchik
"Your reasoning is accurate", the man acknowledges. "Only two more to go." "Now you are visiting an insane asylum. The only occupants are either Doctors or patients. It is rumoured however that not all the doctors are sane while some patients in fact are. Those who are sane are always honest and everything they believe is true. Those who are insane are honest in that they say what they believe but everything they believe is false. It is important that any sane patients are removed from the asylum and insane doctors should also be removed from the asylum. In the asylum you meet Arwen and Bejam. Arwen believes Bejam is insane. Bejam believes Arwen is a doctor. What action, if any, should be taken here?"
