Kusta
Like title says I'm in need of some help.I finished original Oblivion like 10 times. Now i got Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. The help i need is regarding mods and unofficial plug ins.I noticed there is big list of all of them, but i don't know what will work with what.Like races... Or those player models, hairs, eyes, skins, I have no idea what else.Rens, Roberts, HGCV (or something like that), Eye Candy...Also there is big number of modifications for all those above. So if anybody could help me with this I would be very grateful. Edit:Also i forgot to ask about clothing, armor, weapons. So add this to question above.
Matoyak
This is completely dependent upon what you want. If you want a complete and utter overhaul, I would suggest FCOM: (BE WARNED...this is a difficult mod to install, as it is long, complicated, and actually a compilation of up to five other overhaul mods) Click Here For FCOM. The best installation method I have seen so far is the following: Click Here for FCOM Installation Instructions. FOLLOW THESE TO THE LETTER. It is also strongly suggested to start this with a clean install of Oblivion in a folder other than the Program Files folder (if using Windows Vista or Windows 7). Other such overhaul mods are Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, WarCry, Martigen's Monster Mod, or Francesco's. Certain ones of these are compatible with certain others, but FCOM ties them all up into one lovely bundle that results in what is essentially a completely new game. Most mods are compatible with FCOM, and they will tend to say whether they are or aren't...if there is ever a question, you can also always ask here on the Nexus forums. As to your question about Body Replacers...I can't answer that as I do not personally use them as they tend towards the "Adult" level material and I tend to play this game when I am home from University and I have younger siblings that like to watch. The textures are most certainly pretty, though...and Oblivion's default character models are quite fugly. Generally compatibility-wise, you will have only ONE body replacer running at a time. As far as Races go, I use the Race Balancing Project which also applies quite a few fixes to the races that are already in the game as well as adding quite a few bonus races to the mix in addition. This mod also has compatibility patches for almost all of the Body Replacer/Retexture mods out there as well. FCOM (with all of the overhaul mods included) adds an astounding amount of enemies, weapons, armors, and other such things. If you feel the need to add armor/weapon mods on top of this, most should have next-to-no compatibility issues with any other mod as they are simply adding objects rather than changing objects. I strongly suggest downloading BOSS to sort your mod load order as well as taking a look at bben's handy article on the subject here on these forums. If you have any more questions, just ask and I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to help you out...the guys here are a wonderfully helpful and polite bunch overall. About two weeks ago I was in your situation...it just takes practice I guess, heh. I still am learning certain things dealing with modding games, but hey, it is really worthwhile overall. Happy modding! :D

Anyway you can have a look at my article, My first twenty mods installed. It's suited for lower spec machines and first time players, but you might find it useful anyway. Don't forget to check out the accompanying file of installation guides and omod conversion data folders. As for player models, the only real advice I can give is that for female bodies you can go down two main routes - Robert's female bodies compendium or not (HGEC, etc.). My impression is that Robert's is the sensible one and the others are for those who want more extreme (female) body types. Lots of mods (clothing and so on) will say which type they work with - so if you see something you really want to try then go with the body type that matches. You're probably best with Robert's Male Body v5 Beta for the male bodies. (Muscular is the 'average' one and probably is best supported by other mods). Kusta
I have a lower spec PC. By sacrificing some of advanced effects and graphics i can play game that look still good but i don't have problems with it.Do i also need a custom race patch? For Mystic Elf's from Ren's beauty pack?Or any other race?About cosmetics i was more interested in haircuts and face details. I seen some pictures and chars look very good. I mean i never was able to make that kind of faces in regular game.I tend to play with male chars, since i feel like I'm there :)I might try those adult and extreme mods, but it's only because I'm very curious to see how all that works. @ MatoyakIf i install FCOM and all that will i still be able to add other weapons/armor/skin mods? What can i say, right now I'm like little kid in candy shop. Want to try and see all. @ ptbptbSo any of mods for body's have it own modifications? And thanks for all the help guys :)

By sacrificing some of advanced effects and graphics i can play game that look still good but i don't have problems with it. I think you'll find that mods that add lots of NPCs (Better Cities) and those that add high-resolution textures will slow down your game too much. Do i also need a custom race patch? For Mystic Elf's from Ren's beauty pack?Robert's compilations have special versions in the download that work with Ren's mystic elves. You will need to customize the installation process to install them. About cosmetics i was more interested in haircuts and face details. I seen some pictures and chars look very good. I mean i never was able to make that kind of faces in regular game.I tend to play with male chars, since i feel like I'm there :) If you see something you like just check what body types it works with. So any of mods for body's have it own modifications? In the sense that Slof's Khajiit Retexture only work with Robert's Male Body v5 Beta and Robert's female bodies compendium then yes. Altering textures, meshes (body parts) on particular body types is quite common.

Want to try and see all.Unless it changes the leveled lists of the game it should be compatible. Like I said, they will generally say whether it is FCOM compatible or not. I use a good 30 or so mods beyond FCOM and they all work fine, a good few are armor/weapon additions... Keep in mind, however, most of the armor/weapon mods out there are designed for high level characters...if you are starting a new game with a clean install for FCOM it may be a while before you are strong enough to go chasing after the higher-level weapons.
