Making my own shader effects

I'm working on a mod and I need to create new shader effects, I have absolutely no idea as to how I might go about doing this however.

 

Can anyone give me some advice or point me to a shader making tutorial?

writing shaders is not easy.

 

If you just want that effect you could just call the TriggerHitShader function.
