DrakeTheDragon Posted May 7, 2014 Share Posted May 7, 2014 Wolfenstein (3D?) was one of the first 3D (or at least coming close, with flat actor billboards and sprites all over the place) 1st person shooters ever created, even before DooM.Some time later I witnessed the birth of Return To Castle Wolfenstein (RTCW) as well, likely a successor of the classic. All of them cannot be obtained, or are allowed to be played, here in Germany, nor was I ever interested in any of them, but that doesn't mean the classic developments in the 3D gaming history and their monument stones are unknown to me. I'm not really up-to-date about the more recent developments in the gaming industry though, so this 'new' Wolfenstein doesn't ring any bell, yet, so far.
