francesco's 4.5 & a weird map screen

ok this is what i have installed.

 

btmod:(inventory mod)

francesco's optional addition creature/items 4.5 mod.

wrye's leveling mod

oblivion script extender

cobl 1.71,, only the core file nothing else.

quest award leveler

 

the problem is this: the game goes fine, then i turn on the map screen F4. and,, sometimes i see the journal page, but w/map items and the journal background.

sometimes, things are ommitted from the map, and i have to click on where i think the cave etc is, and then it shows it.

a lot of times, either it shows the map screen, or journal w/ map items, and when i put the mouse over a cave etc, the map will go to journal, or journal background goes to map background.(backgournd flip-flops)

sometimes, the little cursors, under the map (let you go inbetween F4 options), i cant see them, and have to click on where i think they are supposed to be.

i can fast travel, but there's the journal's bottom book "line" and if a map thing is under that line, then i cant fast travel there.(both backgrounds). i can still play the game just fine, but its annoying w/ the map crap happening all the time.

 

so anywayz, the map is all messed up, playing oblivion normal its ok, w/ just btmod, its ok, w/quest leveler its ok. personally i think its probly francesco's, but could be cobl who knows. anywayz, if anyone has ever experienced this, can you help me out? i dont know if i need the unofficial ob patch. no i dont have it it installed.

Off the top of my head mate, I recon both Francesco's items/creatures and Cobl 1.6 and upwards need the newest patch. Most mods these days do, I'm afraid.

I'd get the UOP (Unofficial Oblivion Patch) too if I were you, just for the additional troubleshooting.

Failing that, you could try installing a map mod. Elven Map Redux is probably the most popular but I think it needs the newest version too. There are several other map overhauls out there and some of em are pretty good... I only ended up going back to the Elven Redux because its the best one for Elswyr.
