gasxero Posted December 12, 2009 Share Posted December 12, 2009 There are some cool mental abilities in this game, perhaps a warrior or Rogue class could make use of them? I'd suggest the warrior tree could look something like: 1. Stunning wave: the warrior releases a wave of Psychic energy that stuns opponents in his immediate vicinity for several seconds 2. Minds eye: (passive) the warrior can sense the presence of any being hidden in shadows and becomes more resistant to stunning effects and other forms of mental attacks 3. Mind Crush: the warrior reaches out with his mind, grabs an opponent (who must pass a resistance check) and crushes the bones in his body dealing damage and providing a heavy penalty to attack and movement speed. 4. Pull: the warrior extends his sword and pulls a target toward him in hopes of dealing critical damage and possibly outright killing him if impaled on his weapon (unless they pass a Mental/Physical resistance check) As for the Rogue tree: 1. Mental trick: the rogue targets an opponent who, while under the effects of the trick, can't seem to accurately strike his target 2. Suggestion: the rogue implants confusing thoughts into his opponents mind thus making him drop his current target and seek out other prey 3. Heightened Synapses: (Passive) Being an expert in the ways of 'mind over matter', the rogue now flows telekinetic energy through his body which increases attack speed and reaction times in battle 4. Waves of Insanity: (sustainable) While active, the rogue projects waves of pure psychic distortion forcing any enemies within a certain radius to pass a mental resistance check or engage each other in battle or simply wander around aimlessly I purposely thought of these abilities because I know most, if not all, already exist in game in some form or another so implementing them into a spec pack shouldn't require too much modding wizardry...Also, if you feel some or all of the abilities are overpowered then just add your own take on them or come up with something entirely new. I mainly just want to use a character with Psychic abilities. I know from experience on the NWN sites that people often request "Psionics" implementation into their games so I figure something like this is bound to come around sooner or later.
