Texture of Staff won't drop on the floor

Hi This is what happen to my custom staff

When I tried to drop it on the floor,

while the shape and the texture is still fixed in the air

the staff itself is on the ground

what I mean on the ground is that I can pick up my staff with my crosshair pointing at the ground

but not at the staff itself

It is so weird that my custom shield didn't have the same problem

it drops on the ground and I can pick it up off the ground

and I also did copy the properties of the collision box and it's mass and all that

but my staff remain in the air...

 

is something wrong with my Oblivion or .... is it just weird?

 

I am using Blender to create models and collision box

and nifskope to do the copy and paste of collision box properties

It's because the collision object is not connected to the same node as the visual parts of the mesh. For weapons and the like, you are almost always best off just taking an existing weapon.nif with similar proportions and replacing the visual parts of that item with the visual parts of your item.

just back from work

Maybe try to remember how I did for my custom shield because it works great
