Bridgepiece
As the title states, I need a new game to play! I love to make mods and would like to stay with a game that offers such abilities. Ive played TES in the past.. As well as NWN.. Which community has the highest demand for mods? Any suggestion are welcome!
Vagrant0
Demand is entirely dependent on what sorts of mods you like to make. You could always try Fallout3 for a change of pace. Going back to Morrowind and using MGE also has a certain amount of allure. Can also always join a team of modders to work on larger projects, it may be the same game, but can often have a different feeling. Not may other games out there with living modding communities. I guess it's a good reason not to download from Steam for anything moddable again (ever). Steam or D2D versions almost ALWAYS have limitations that prevent modding, or forms of modding. Torchlight has some modding capabilities (despite only being available from a paid download site at this time (only because it was designed that way)), but the graphics and limitations of the systems can put people off. jaosals42
Half life 2 is a game with a huge modder's base that requires steam to function. Garrys mod (a mod based on HL2) has an even larger modder's base. A good place for G-mod "mods" in particular is here: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/ Half life 2 mods are more scattered though. However, a good starting place for mods for said game is filefront: http://halflife2.filefront.com/ You can get Half life 2 here on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/220/ And Garrys Mod (which requires at least HL2): http://store.steampowered.com/app/4000/
