CorrodedSoul
if what you want ot do is a plain override, you have to:first, look on the bsa for the texture you want t ochange(say, the t52b)then you have to export it, btw, you open the bsa archives with either the fallout mod manager or bsacommander or whatever app you have here, the fomm option extract the whole directory tree so, is the easy way.once you have the textures extracted, you can proceed to change the tex, the one to recolour us the plain *.dds, not the *_n.dds(wich is the normalmap) nor the *_g.dds(wich is the glow map).once you have your texture changec, you have to have the "binvalidateoldfiles =1" in your fallot.iniAND (here i am assuming) the archive invalidator. with all those the textures will be overriden. :excl: (note that this option does not involve GECK) :excl: Now if you want to make a NEW variat of an existing armor, you have to have some knowledge on GECK, since you will have to make a copy of the existing armor inside geck, also you will have to edit the .nif files to reflect the new texture, thus having to tinker quite hard!!!! Hope that helps!!!! :P silly me... here are a LOT of modding tuts and this are made by people far more experienced
