Mod\Load Order Help

Recommended Posts

I've been having a pretty big problem since I updated some mods. It happened after I updated Lings Finer Things and Lings Pretty Things, and installed Stalker Arsenal and Armor Mod and Stalker Call of DC. After I did everything each mod told me to do all of the men were naked. I've tried everything including deactivating all of my mods but that didn't help. Maybe you guys can help me here is my mod list and load order.

That S**T is way to complex for the noobish...

Fellout is in the wrong spot.

You ever read a read me?

You ever read a pinned topic in tech support on nexus forums called installing mods with DLC's?

Just wondering...

"This mod does not exist in the current template"

Then what's it doing listed here, if you are not using it, why bother telling us about it?

Max level 99 is stupid, unless you figured out how to make it work, with the mastery mod thingy.

Isn't level 30 good enough?

What's a noob need with level 100

Just wondering...

I'm not saying anything about it good or bad, but it could make things more simple if you cut out some of that crap.

Just because you may not need it right now.

UFP Unofficial fallout patch is great, but it touches just about everything in the game, in that respect

it's a freaking huge mod, omg I can't see the sun anymore, because UFP is blotting it out

Just like it's conflicting with every other mod out there, because most of these change the same stuff

mind you it's not the whole thing that's conflicting, just the common points to which a modder touches.

Distruction, is probably a huge mod as well, an touches on just about everything, thus conflicting with everything maybe

but it's probably not over complex as far as mods go, You can add distruciton data to everything, but then everything

past the distruction mods you have, all that stuff, which is also in the other mods which don't have that distruction data

are in a conflict, to which distruction loses...

Tailor made might be a complex mod, never looked at it myself, not yet anyway.

Too busy making stuff.

Your MMM is bunked, for one thing if any of the MMM-DLC optional mods contain any FOIP

(fallout interoperability program) they just got overwriten by the other MMM optional esp's

I don't have any mods in my data file that I don't use. If I can't use it I don't install it, or delete it...

You're DLC's are probably out of order, they were made an released in a order, so that's what I try to use, but I'm not sure if it even matters

but they do change things to which they have in common, so , looking at it from the outside it looks like bethesda tried to improve on a few things

while they were making DLC's.

None of these are your problem though.

Your problem is that you are new, an need to learn a whole bunch of stuff.

At least until you are moving your own verts around on a mesh.

There are guides out there. There's the pinned topic in tech support on nexus forums.

There's a old mod called ultimate load order it's really outdated now, but a good way to learn.

Then I wrote this really lame semi guide last week I'll paste in below, good luck an please send my $15 service charge to

Just kidding...

*from another post last weekish"

Update grapics card drivers to current from the company that made it

Install to C:bethesda not C:/program files/bethesda

Patch to 1.7

install

GECK

GECK update

FOMM

FOSE

FO3edit

Defrag the hard drive Fallout is 6Gb vanilla like up to 20Gb modded

And you know post update, block GFWL from the internet via the firewall, if you want

Once it's all installed, you want to launch fallout 3 Via FOMM

Which FOMM will launch FOSE if it detects it

Congrads you no longer need the disc to be in the drive, an GFWL won't launch anymore

Now that it will launch,

use the fallout default launcher (yeah need the disc for that one)

You're just changing the settings for grapics with the default launcher from now on

Something you'll probably want is to turn AA an AF off (perfromance)

then open your Grapics card driver

Force AA via the setting override any application setting

then pick whatever AA an AF you want, you can pick higher settings this way

which won't hurt perfromance, I run around on SLI 32XQ without a drop in FPS

But it's higher quality AA an AF anyway, it's opposiste from every other game

so this only works on Fallout 3

Read the tweek guide, the whole thing an make good choices depending on your system

Also look in Nexus for pinned threads, as it's the best guide

http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_1.html The tweek guide

it deals with the default launcher grapics settings, and also the

fallout.ini files located in mydocuments/games/fallout3 (notepad files)

Now that you have fallout 3 tweeked to hell an back

You use the RAOTW method (random A**hole of the wastes)

create a player, an go run around in the wasteland starting S**T an trying to make

the game crash, or stutter, you want it to be really smooth with only a small amount of

FPS stutter, also a good time to reduce any mouse lag if there is any.

Normal patched Fallout 3 will crash or CTD sometimes, but it shouldn't happen a whole lot.

Once you figure out whatever it is you needed to figure out in order to get it to run smooth

Install the DLC's (yeah they are totally worth it)

They load first after the fallout3.esm from now on

Make another RAOTW an go run around try to make it crash again.

Download mods, a poop ton of whatever you want.

Bear in mind the more simple it is, the better it will run until you learn how to fix a 250 mod load order

If you want a whole lot of game time with little problems then you need to get simple stuff that doesn't conflict

or just a small amount of mods, to start with maybe 50 or so, but that many you'll need to use FO3edit to resolve any problems

Which there's a new tutorial which was webensized from the old tutorial of FO3edit (the old one was 200 pages)

the new one is interactive, an you can work your way thru it as you are doing things to fix your load order

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9616 be sure to thank CSB

Now it's not that easy, you have to learn how to install mods, which can be tricky when you start

there's a pinned topic on the subject, and it's located in this tech support forum I think, but yeah

you'll want to read that, as well as any read me's you come across, one thing that will help is ignore

an mention of archive invaildiation (which is now invalidated)

FOMM has a built in Archive invaildation invalidated, which you toggle on an apply with a button

an to my knowlege you only have to do it once.

Okay so you've done this ton of work.

Now start a real game, not a RAOTW,

GET thru the first part, when you get out into the wasteland

You'll want to not move for a bit and let all the scripts or DLC's start up

Once the system catches up, you'll probably want to go find a small CELL

which is just a word for inside room, small cell with no npc's in it

then, you'll want to either wait 4 days so MMM can start up

or change the settings for your mods that use FOSE, like ingame options for mods

maybe even ~showracemenu an go over your charicter again, ~ is the console

it's above the left tab, you bring it up an give commands to the game engine

you might want to ~TFC which will let you fly the camera around an check out your charicter

Later on you might want to ~PCB which will purge the cell buffer, corupt data can get into the cell buffer

with all the crazy stuff we can do with mods, but sometimes PCB can be dangerous an crash the system

but heh the computers system cache can go corupt at any time although mostly it's after a long game

You never want to quick save or auto save, disable all that autosave stuff, each time you want to press ESC

which pauses the game, then create new save, which creates a full save, not a partial save like the others.

Save games can go corupt, an can be going corupt for up to an hour before you actually crash, which means

they can be locked into save games, where next time you load that save, it's already corupt, locked in

the only thing you can do is roll back to the privious save, until it's gone, which is why you never delete any of your save games

until you are ready to delete them all. Also never remove or add a mod in the load order or even change the load order

until you are ready to delete all your save games an start over...

I played vanilla fallout without any mods, and without even any patches for about 3 months an I didn't have many problems

I had issues, but just like other games, once I started using mods the problems happened more, but we have come a long way

something like 95% of the crashes are gone now thanks to everyone's hard work, but you have to learn a whole lot an do a lot

of work yourself to get there, and to get the long games.
