Bridgepiece
Hello :whistling: Came across a weird situation today in the toolset.. Basically, its 'pathing over pathing', here are some screens - http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z315/bridgepiece/p2.jpg - http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z315/bridgepiece/p1.jpg Underneath the top areas that pathed are 'blank', neither red nor green.. Will the player still be able to walk there? Is this pathing over pathing even possible? lol :thanks:
Vagrant0
My know-nothing answer is that it probably won't. If the pathgridding in the game is generated from a top-down perspective, notating passable and non-passable points based on changes in terrain slope or specific objects, an empty space would likely not be a normal occurrence. At best, you will be able to pass from the nodes below to the nodes above (popping though the terrain), at worst, the area might cause a game error upon loading or anything moving between those nodes. The best way to know for sure would probably be to implement it as an empty space, and try to go there in the game to see what happens. But again, this is my know-nothing answer purely on how pathing works in most other games.
