I downloaded the DAtools and what not, just to see what it would be like just to re-texture some armor. Converted the .dda files to .tga then opened them in Photoshop and got my mind blown, I didn't realise how the textures are in a raw image, they're just a square image with the different textures, at first sight they seem indecipherable. I figured out what I was looking at with the Textures and spent a bit of time reskining it in Photoshop but couldn't work out how to replace it.
