If you don't like Fallout 3 to begin with, I don't think any amount of mods can really change that. After all, they are only modifications, and the core of the game still remains the same.

as tony said... there's no amount of mods you can put on a specific game to change it's core.

I assume that you are one of those who was really hoped that bethesda had just finished project van buren (sorry if I've mis-spelled that)

To be honest, i was really hoping(back then) that black isle relese the next fallout.

But, as most things in life, that wasn't meant to happen.

and FO3 IS a good game, but the ones like you (and me at first) don't give it a chance, bcoz at the very start, you are comparing it to the Black Isle fallout, and that can't be.

Beth buy the rights to make the game, but there are different point of view Van Buren was a pseudo 3d game

and the guys at beth delivered an "inmersive experience" of sorts, much like oblivion.

and saying that "They just don't know how to make RGPs these days"... well, again, it's matter of perspective, from where are you looking. NWN2 it's far more "RPG" than oblivion, but the latter deleivered, to me at least, a very enjoyable experience.

and, at the very end, that's why I(we) play, to have fun, just that.

If some where offended, i really had no intention to do that...

Best Regards

I don't believe you actually like this game. I believe you want another game and are looking for mods to essentially make it into a different game. Like all these people have said, Bethesda's Fallout 3 is Bethesda's Fallout 3 heavily modded or not. By the way, I'm pretty sure Bethesda is one of the few companies out there that DO know how to make GREAT RPGs considering that they have at least TWO Game of the Years under their belts. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here who has a lot of respect for Bethesda and I'm pretty sure you are one of the very few people who don't. I guess all I'm saying is the proof is written on the wall: two GotYs, exuberant critical acclaim, millions of copies sold. Bethesda knows their stuff.

Those awards were rated buy critics the same critics that rate all the lame movies that come out in theaters and are supposed to be Awesome or the number 1 movie of the year etc..so awards mean nothing. In all respect i feel that fallout 3 feels like it was rushed and put out much before it was finished. But it does have potential and everything is there for us modders to finish up. Personally i would only give it a 6/10 vanilla. Altho mods will only improve upon what already exists so fallout 3 is still fallout 3 modded or not.

Well... this argument doesn't work me. I am not going to eat sh*t becouse bilions of flyies do so. Sorry.. hallooooo

Look on MW2 and IWNet fail... game sold well and now ppl cry about lack of dedicated servers support, tons of hackers, problems with connection and such. It doesn't work that way for me.

No, don't worry ;-)

Yes, I compare it to Fallout 2, becouse it's title is Fallout 3... If this game would be called: After Nuke I would be more than satisified about quality of this product. Really. But they choosed the name, not me. And yes NWN2 expansions were really something, and look I bet they didn't sell as good as LoLblivion. (this is for SethGunn)

That's what I ment.

And that's why I am looking for mods I mentioned.

The Fallout 3 Compendium is an old and dead one.

Hmm looks good, to bad it wasn't finished :/
