mechine
Okay so I made a new mesh for a hat, which looks great even in it's rough draft stage. Since it's new, I needed a .egm so it would scale with the players faces that use it. Which led me to the conformulator thingy. The headhuman.tri and headhuman.egm, Then again with headfemale.tri an headfemale.egm Done with two meshes, set on the headhuman.nif and headfemale.nif The headhuman.nif an headfemale.nif when you extract them are not at 0 0 0 but it looked like the meshes for vanilla hats had the head set to 0 0 0 when placed or at 0 0 0 themself. So I tried to use the conformulator on both set ups with the new hat where it would be on the vanilla mesh for the heads, and then also by placing the heads at 0 0 0 an moving the hat to fit. Then later on I even transfered the shape into a known good vanilla hat .nif I did the update facegen model avail in geck, and even tried putting the hat on a newly created npc, which most of the times it crashes when I do that. Ingame the hat is either stuck halfway inside the head, or you know floating about 6 feet to the left. With the conformulator, if I force it to use a .nif rather than a .obj, then conformulator Gives a error, an asks if I want to continue an blabs about some debug mode. I'm just trying random stuff right now. Anyone, know any thing that would maybe help. I updated all tangent spaces with the mesh, but it's actually the first time I've moved verts around to create a shape. I did use the necklace slot, an tried the hat too, in a new form or from one that was already a hat too. Has anyone had any luck with brand new hats?
