btmod help!! map is messed up bad

ok, i tried to install a new map mod,, nope i was suggested this on here, but it didnt work.

btmod, doesnt have an uninstall option, i can only find the exe file, and i dont wanna start a new game. urrgghh

 

ok, here's what happens, i press f4, and open up the map, but i see the markers, but no map, the background is white.

sometimes, some of the markers dont come up, and i have to "guess"where they are.

ill put the cursor over diff markers, and i either see the map pop up, or it goes away.

 

man c'mon imagine playing the game w/ a crappy map like that,, please can someone either help me find the uninstall, or how to fix it. all it was was an exe file, no uninstall, no readme, no nothing else. almost dont even wanna play anymore its that ,, annoying.

This may sound like a silly question, but if you used the .exe auto-installer then isn't it available from "Add/Remove Programs" (Windows XP) or "Programs and Features" (Windows 7) ?

 

Are you really sure there isn't an uninstall option? I didn't use the auto-installer so I can't tell from here but people posting about it in threads say there is one.

 

Apart from that, everything that BTmod adds or alters is in the Data\Menus subfolder of the Oblivion. Try 1) Uninstall 'Elf map redux', 2) Move (not delete) the Menus folder out of the way somewhere. 3) See if Oblivion works OK. 4) Re-install 'Elf map redux', 5) See if Oblivion works OK.

 

If that doesn't work then post back here.

 

P.S. I didn't use either francesco's or the elf map redux - I think a conflict with one of those two is the most likely cause of the problems you have. Especially the elf map redux.
