XenoprophetNail
"The soulgem not showing up". I don't think you sound arrogant, but that might be because I don't think there's a flaw in my mod. :D I think you sound like you're having load order troubles, i.e. mod conflicts, and that can and does happen every time you use any mod, mods work by conflicting with Vanilla resources, right off the bat, so technically as soon as you introduce a mod, you've introduced a conflict, and many times the conflict is intended, it's the reason for the mod's whole existence. I'm examining your load order, the first soulgem mod you have installed is 2E Visually Enchanted SoulTrap 1.esp Possibly jpm's miniature necromancy, I will have to look that one up... And maybe I'm half-asleep but I didn't even see Leviathan's in the list.. But what really stands out is, that you have the "questionable" Tower of HADARATH mod at the bottom of your load, and no soulgem mod after it. It's safe to put a small mod after a larger scale mod like that because the small scale mods will only edit in a small way. While larger scale mods not only edit much more, they have a tendency to pick up dirty edits, and I don't know that particular mod, so I can't say it does or it doesn't. I can tell you that Leviathan's mod seemed clean to me, and I know that mine is. The last mod that makes a change Wins. A "dirty" mod means the author changed something, didn't intend it to be changed when he or she was finished, and so instead of deleting the reference completely, they left the edited cell (by changing it back to the vanilla state). But the game registers that there was a "new change" instead of ignoring it. When that happens any edited cell will over-write any change that came before. The upshot is: try placing your soulgem mod(s) lower than the Tower, and remember even so, only one of the Soulgem mods may work if they all edit the same exact thing, the last one to load wins. They show up but well I'll upload a pic to show you... As you can see the freshly trapped one is the same as an empty one something's keeping them from showing as a full one. this screenshot was taken with your mod loaded after the tower mod it's one of the first things I tried when I noticed this problem.. Also Jpm's miniature necromancy only alters black soulgems as far as I know.
myrmaad
Let me just clarify, the problem is only with the icons, at this moment, but the soulgems themselves work properly? I have to run out but I'll be back in about an hour and will come back to this asap. They show up but well I'll upload a pic to show you... Sad to say no the soulgems do not show up as filled either All I get are filled soulgems that look like empty ones. Unless I buy them at a store, the game adds them to my inventory, or I find one on the ground. Those are fine and they even work in the tower of Hadarath. It just seems to happen when I trap a soul, I'm really glad your helping me though :thanks:

I ONLY used Leviathan's filled models for all gems, filled or empty. We will figure this out. See you in a bit.

I'm beginning to think It's an engine problem, I'm gonna try a few more things and cross my fingers. EDIT:Yup it's an engine problem I only ran 6 mods and it did the same thing, at least I know It's not your fine mod... Oh well, another battle lost. That's the story of my life (sigh) Regrettably I must sleep now see you in 12 to 14 Hrs. EDIT2: Woke up, uninstalled and re-installed oblivion and shivering isles and put everything back as you can see still suffering same problem... I'm gonna do a dirty cheat to fix this and try my hand at scripting a spell to make a filled soulgem :sorcerer: Edited December 18, 2009 by Xenoprophet_Nail

Let me ask you this question, when you had the same problem, were you using a saved savegame file from the game with the trouble, or did you start a brand new game to test? If you were using a saved game file, I suggest it would be easier to download Wrye Bash, and clean the various soulgem mods from the saved games. I really have to get around to making a tutorial for that, just let me know if you need help with it.

Actually I started a new game for each test, I'm beginning to think I may have too many formids active in my game. I'll get a look at it in a little bit... I'm at my dad's now.
