Suggestion for new feature. (For DarkOne)

Hey guys, I hope Dark0ne see's this. :)

 

Ok I have a suggestion for something you should ad to the site.

 

So if you make a file you can make it private and then say certain people can have access to it, but they cannot actually veiw it like a public file. You should add a feature where you can mark a file as like "in beta" or something, so its private but those who have been given access can see it as if it were a public file. That way for mods, like mine, we can have it beta tested without having it open to the public, and without having to make a separate site for it or something.

 

This would be a fantastic feature to add to the website, and really step it up to the next level in... awsome web...siteness?

Lolp, yes it would. but I've heard him say before that this place is meant for finished mods and therefore there would be no need for it. Or at least a place that's open for everyone.

True, but having an easy to do (like public mods) way to have private ones, could help speed along production of them, making more public ones faster. I still think he needs to add it, and it would be a fantastic addition indeed.

I couldn't agree otherwise :), it would be a nice feature. But as I said, similar questions have been asked before:

- Hosting a Private Beta

- Placeholders, Supermirvs & more

- Need help with setting up download., So that only a few can download it.

 

This site isn't really set up to be used by teams/beta testers who want to limit the people who can download their files. It's for publishing finished products or open betas.
