Bigpoppafluff1
I'm getting The message of "I HAVE NO GREETING" when I try to take to NPC's It started happening after I downloaded a few mods, but I have deactivated them and I still get the message. My Companions wont do it nor will anyone from The SI do it, only oblivion NPC's. If you have incounted this problem before and can give me a fix for it I would be most greatfull. Frankly the game sucks if no one will talk to you!

This is a quite common problem. See http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Glitche..._NO_GREETING.21 for details.

Maigrets
didnt work i'll try again  Post a list and load order of your mods. There are a few, namely The Cheydinhal Petshop that do things like this, although if you deactivated them it should have been fixed. Some mods require the actual files that come with them to be removed as well. Just deactivating the esp isn't always enough. If by chance you do have Cheydinhal Petshop it's easy to fix with the CS, although this usually causes a long delay with NPC speech rather than the NO GREETING issue. No real CS knowledge needed. I'll check back later and post the fix if that's your issue.
Joker771
A quick fix to this would be to backup your save files and re-install oblivion or you can post your load order so we can try see whats causing the problem.
