It is possible?

Hi all... I have this question that is bugging me for a while. Let's take the major body mods that exist in this moment Hgec/Exnem and Robert's for male. Well i looked at them in nifskope and those mods has some super textures on them. Well the problem is this... the material property in nifskope is normally named skin that allows oblivion to load only skin shaders to it but this changes the texture color in a darker one and not so good as the default in the nifskope...

2. If I change the name of the material property with anything other the skin the body is supper but the problem is to the other races than imperial because you will have a dark elf with imperial white skin. And the armors will be the same with the same problem with a imperial skin to a kajit for example.

3.It is a way to change the default oblivion shaders or something to change in another way skin modification for the default skin material property?

Best regards!

Nope, the SKIN material is specially coded for this purpose and is used for other things, like sun damage. What is happening is not a mere tinting of the skin beneath, but a replacement of the texture linked to those parts based on race. This cannot be emulated through any other means that do not cause significant problems elsewhere.

The more practical solution to the bodymod issue would have been to make all the bodies mapped the same way, or use different textures for every part of that set. But this never caught on, and there are far too many equipment mods out there to adjust to any sort of system. Blame it on people for wanting their standard to be the only one.
