man guns could be cool if you do it right, like holding 2 flintlocks at the same time man that'd be cool

or holding a pistol in one hand and a cutlass or sabre in the other, man tha would be cool. and howcome theres crossbows in morrowind and not oblivion? its the same with spears, i dont get that. what would be awsome would to have hold to pistols at once and have a sword sheathed at your side at the same time, so you could fire 2 shots at an enemy charging you and if they survive you could press a button, eg. right mouse button and your character would throw down his pistols, pull out the sword and you could charge in at the weakend enemy. man that would be cool. :happy:

Actually, he mintioned muskets in his first post.

 

Must you type that silly sentence in EVERY SINGLE post you make? That's what sigs are for...

At any rate, guns would only work in one of two ways...

 

1. As a staff, like the blunderbuss, it's held like a staff, and just shoots a spell.

 

2. As a total replacement to bows. While it would still require new animations (still not possible), would require replacement of arrows and bows with a gun/bullet mesh (either pistol or rifle, can't be both due to needing custom animations), would still have the whole bow system where you have to pull back the string all the way for it to go anywhere. It would NEED to be a total replacement as bows are the only weapon type that is distance based, and as you CANNOT add new weapon types, you're pretty much stuck.

 

In short, regardless of your rationalizations as to why there SHOULD be guns, you're still forced to use what is available. No amount of scripting or modding can change this, stop asking.
