The Most Default Character

I want to know what Race, Class, and Birthsign I can use to make the most default character for Morrowind. I know that I should be the Dark Elf since Morrowind is their homeland. But what class and sign fits them most. I know that the first one selected will be in alphebetical order so it would be acrobat and apprentance.

That's a strange viewpoint. At my opinion, "the defaultest of them all" for any TES game would be male Imperial warrior with Warrior birthsign. But if you want a dark elf, then you may have the same for him. And I doubt many take classes and birthsigns in alphabetical order, besides, Acrobat and Apprentice are not really made for each other.

I know but I want a class and sign that will go best with a Dark elf. I good class and sign for a Imperial will be the Knight and the Apprentance I think.

Dark elves are relatively universal. Anything will do, providing you make a good class/birthsign combination, but they require a magic-oriented birthsign when their class involves any substantial spellcasting. Though Apprentice goes last of three in my personal list.

 

However, I don't see anything good in imperial knights with Apprentice birthsign. That one gives an unpleasant vulnerability in exchange for a magical bonus, which, while universally useful, is not that nesessary for a knight. Besides, Imperials, with all their combat bonuses, are not nearly as tough as warrior-inclined races and thus are quite vulnerable.

 

If you need my personal experience, then the best birthsign is Atronach. It has a terrible disadvantage, but a few noncheat tricks allow a workaround. And it makes you well-defended in combat, much unlike Apprentice. For dark elves I personally like Thief. With any stealth- or combat-specialised class. With Ansestral Guard, even once a day as it is, that's a lifesaver sometimes. Though Atronach goes well too.

 

Of other birthsigns, Lady and Warrior are quite useful. As well as Steed and Lover, at least in the beginning, when you run like lame tortoise and can barely hit a rat with a slipper. Which doesn't mean you have any good way to change them (console command is NOT a good way, the way it works sucks). And of course Mage - a rather small bonus of magicka but no disadvantage at all just can't be bad. I often take Mage as default, when can't think of a better one.

 

Though all that is personal opinion. I can imagine a dozen reasons other people may have to disagree with me, but unfortunately this forum section is all but dead.

Be a High Elf warrior that should give you a challenge.
