Larger Inventory v1.3

http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=1883

ABOUT

This was inspired by the Bieder 12 Slot Inventory

v1.0 mod. The original mod only had 12 slots.

This mod automatically detects what font is in the

SFontFile_3 in the Oblivion.ini file and fits an

appropriate number of items in the inventory.

Basically these files use the Morrowind icons to

fit more items in the existing inventory screens.

Thanks to all on the Elder Scrolls board especially

Bieder who really got it working first.

CHANGE LIST

v 1.3

o Update Shon's Oblivion Gothic Big font.

v 1.2

o Added Shon's other modified fonts

Apparently the offset issue was with the MW

fonts not the Shon's

o Removed Morrowind fonts from installer

o Changed xml to stop accounting for y offset

v 1.1

o Added fonts directly in installer since I've

been told they are in the public domain

o Default text to black

(this can be changed in top of each file back

to defaults)

o Added Shon's Modified Magic Card Font (does not

work properly)

TWEEKS

Edit any of the included menu xml files and change

the mySizingVars user0 or user2 variables to set

the number of items in the inventory.

These are at about line 70 or so in each file.

The black font can be changed back in the xml files

as well. Fairly simple edit really.

INSTALL

Included files:

Data\LargerInventory_readme.txt

Data\fonts\century_gothic_big_0_Lod_A.tex

Data\fonts\century_gothic_font_regular_0_Lod_A.tex

Data\fonts\Magic_Cards_Oblivion.fnt

Data\fonts\Magic_Cards_Regular_0_Lod_A.tex

Data\fonts\oblivion_gothic_big.fnt

Data\fonts\oblivion_gothic_regular.fnt

Data\menus\main\inventory_menu.xml

Data\menus\main\magic_menu.xml

Data\menus\container_menu.xml

To use Morrowind fonts:

Edit "My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini"

Search for

SFontFile_3=Data\Fonts\Tahoma_Bold_Small.fnt

and replace with

SFontFile_3=Data\Fonts\Magic_Cards_Oblivion.fnt

The NSIS installer will automatically update the

ini file for the selected font.

KNOWN ISSUES

The century gothic regular font does not look quite

as nice as the Magic cards font but is still

functional.

Sometimes the last item in the list is selectable

but is not completely visible. Scroll down to fix.

There seems to be a problem with apparel and apparaus

headers overlaping in the primary inventory window.

Doesn't seem to cause any real issues though.

THANKS TO:

Beider and Tikigod for their improvements.

Shon for the suggestions and fonts (and Niftools???)

Yeah, is there a way to fix/remove this?

I don't really like it.

Sorry you didn't like it. I cant stand the 6 item inventory.

Anyway, check the readme in the data directory for files that were installed. Delete them if you like. You will also want to edit the "My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini" file to reset the font back to the original font. The original font is saved in the ini and the readme also has it listed somewhere in there.
