4l3xXx
Hello, I played this game several times and enjoyed it till the last byte of it. I got over the crashes, freezes and stutters this game suffers from, and completed it more than once.Time has come to play it again, this time with a twist: I reinstalled the game, downloaded the most popular mods for it, made sure I installed them correctly, start the game up and...It blacks the screen and gets back to the desktop. I was so sure I did everything ok I didn't even start the game up while it was still vanilla, damn it.I used to play it just fine all settings at MAX, 1366x768 at a solid 35 fps with LOD and distances at max.Anyway, this is my info:---GAME---Fallout 3 GOTY retail, updated to 1.7, EN_US ---COMPUTER---CPU: Intel Core i7 2630QM @ 2.0 ghz (3.0 with turbo boost) ThrottleStopped (got rid of every stutter in everything)GPU: HD Graphics 3000 / GT 520MX overclocked to 1.1 ghz (from 900 mhz)RAM: 4 GB @ 1333 mhzHDD: random vendor 640 gb @ 5400 rpmOS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64Before you even try ranting about heating, mobile CPU/GPU, overclocking, frying components, cooking mole rat meat with it or whatever... No, just don't say anything, that's not the problem for sure. Now, it refuses to start NO MATTER WHAT. Mods checked, unchecked, some checked some not, tried every possible number of threads up to 8, threaded everything, deleted ini, deleted savegames. Nothing works! FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!This is my load order, even though, provided it still doesn't work with no mods at all, I don't even think that's the issue.Nothing has changed in my computer since the last time I played it... I love this game more than my life (lol) and I would really like to play it again with some twists! EDIT: Just got it working by hiding all additional folders created by mods (meshes, textures etc) and disabling all mods apart from DLCs.It's clear I got something wrong with the installation of those additional folders. How do I fix that? What is the correct order on copying files from the mods' archives? Edited May 12, 2014 by 4l3xXx
