Trouble with utilizing modding resources

I'm quite new at modding with the Construction Set, in fact I'm still beginner level with modding overall. I've been trying to open ANB Wearable Ears, but when I try to do so, I am given the following warning message: "File ANBWearableEars.esp is a higher version than this EXE can load." Even after clicking "Yes to All" and continuing through to the Construction Set, while I am ABLE to load in any sort of ear modification, if I try to preview the face, the Construction Set crashes. I am able to load this mod in game and all parts of it work there.

Another problem I encounter is when I try to use JazzJR's Fluffy Tail modder resource. While this doesn't crash the Construction Set, when I try to do a full body preview, either the tail does not show up, or the preview screen simply turns a darker gray. Before doing either of these, the Construction Set gives the following warning when I try to test it out on the Player NPC: "Bone 'Bip01 Tail01' not found for part 'BASE Fluffy Tail/Tailfluffy.nif'. Requested by 'Bendu Olo' model 'Player (01000CE7) -> Bendu Olo (00000007)'.

Files Used and Version

Oblivion: 1.1.0.425

TES Construction Set: 1.2.0.404

Oblivion Mod Manager: 1.1.12.0

If I can get help with this, I would appreciate it. If more information/pictures is/are required, tell me.

You need to patch your Oblivion.

If you got your game through a download such as D2D, You have to go to them for any patches. The ones at the official site will not work because of the D2D copy protection. Programs like OBSE will probably not work because of the D2D copy protection. There is a special OBSE for the Steam version though. If you have a pirate version, sorry about your luck. Don't be so cheap, buy the game.

If you have the Game of the Year version, you don't need a patch as long as you have installed Shivering Isles. For some reason, Beth put the Oblivion Patchin the Shivering isles install instead of the Oblivion install.

To find what version you have, look in the lower left corner on the loading screen. If it shows v1.2.0416 you already have the latest patch.

You only need to install the latest patch, v1.2.0416, all of the stuff from earlier patches are included.

If you have Shivering Isles, DO NOT use the Oblivion patch, ONLY use the latest Shivering Isles patch. All of the oblivion stuff is included. There is only one English version SI patch for both US & UK versions.

If you DO NOT have Shivering Isles, use only the latest Oblivion patch for the language version on your original install disk.

Be sure to get your patch from the official Bethesda site where they have FREE patches for every language version, There are 2 English versions, UK & US be sure to get the one that matches your disk.

Thank you for actually getting to my problem. I do NOT have Shivering Isles installed, I have an original copy of the game, and I have updated as you said. HOWEVER, this has not solved the problem of being unable to utilize the resources I have in the Construction Set. Both problems still occur. Like I had mentioned earlier, the Wearable Ears mod DOES work in the game, however I cannot use any of the resources in the mod. Both problems still arise. I know it is a problem I'm not catching in the CONSTRUCTION SET, not the game itself, because the 20 mods that I currently use in Oblivion are running smoothly.

EDIT: I got a copy of Shivering Isles my friend let me install, I'm gonna patch into that now.

EDIT 2: Dangit, my friend's copy of Shivering Isles was too badly scratched up and many files got messed up. I reinstalled back to regular Oblivion and updated that.
