falloutkoala Posted May 12, 2014 Share Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) I'm new to modding, so apologies for asking a question that probably has an incredibly simple and/or obvious answer. I want to modify the name, ammo list, and stats of the Lil' Devil (GRA). So far, I've had no trouble modifying some custom weapons I've downloaded (Made the Sapphire Rifle and .50 BMG less obscenely overpowered). I think the reason I was able to do this was because I could alter the plugin that those weapons originate from, whereas the Devil is from the GRA master. I tried making edits and saving them as a new plugin with GRA as a master, but none of the changes I made happened in-game. The obvious solution was to just create a totally new weapon with the Devil as a base and save that to its own plugin, but even ignoring the loss of immersion from using the console to get it (the reason I'm renaming everything is that this is a themed run based on Kino's Journey - Woodsman semiautomatic pistol, Cannon revolver, Flute sniper rifle) I would also lose WMX compatability for the weapon and wouldn't be able to mod it. So, I need to: 1. Figure out how to directly modify a weapon in a master file OR2. Figure out how to allow WMX to work with a completely new weapon OR3. Figure out how to make my own weapon mods and integrate them onto a new weapon. It would be nice to learn all of them, but I've placed them in order from what I expect to be least to most difficult to explain to an idiot. EDIT: Barring any new issues, I appear to have solved the problem by downloading Geck Power Up, which lets me directly alter a master file. EDIT2: Nope! Even directly editing GRA.esm didn't do anything. All the changes can be seen in the Geck, but in-game I'm still stuck with the lil' devil.
