shadowmadnezz
Im not a modder, all I know how to do is download mods, install them, and play them. lol My game runs fine but for certain mods, NPCs skins are all mixmatched. Heads remain the same, while their bodies are white. I've seen this same problem over and over again, but the answer didn't work for me.. bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 is set in the FALLOUT.ini and still not matching. So how do we fix this problem? I'm using the latest 1.7 patch, and Ive read that that could be the problem. I'm not a fan of the G.E.C.K. so if it has to do with that, could someone, please give me a basic run down, step by step solution to fix this please? I would really appreciate it. :thanks:
pkleiss
That fix is for the white face / normal body problem. If you have the reverse, normal face / white body, there are three known solutions: 1) Using FO3MasterUpdate mode, turn the mod from an esp into an esm.2) Using the GECK, make sure the "Can be all races" flag is set on the NPC. (Many a mod developer forgets to do this).3) Extract the body meshes and textures from the BSA (Not tested by me, but I have heard that this sometimes works). This can then casue other issues. That kind of thing is better done by the mod author. As for random NPCs, well, they still use Template characters and those template characters need the "Can be all races" flag set. Again, this is better done by mod authors. For the last one, you're kind of on your own as I have never done that one myself (I have used the other two sucessfully). I have only heard that it works, but have no first hand knowledge. It is possible that that info is completely erroneous.
