Random spell noises (possibly due to a disabled mod?)

I have been having this problem for several days now, every few steps I take i hear a spell casting sound, this is sporadic and sometimes fires many times in a few seconds and isn't always the same sound. The trouble started when I downloaded several mods and installed them a few days ago, but even after uninstalling all of them the problem presists, the only mod that seems capable is "Ls More Butterflies and Fireflies" as the butterflies still exsist in the game world with the mod deactivated. I am nearly at my wits end here, even after starting a new game the problem persists, maybe a script bug? If this keeps happening I will have no other choice but to do a clean install, and that meens losing all of my mods. If anyone has any advice or knows of a way to fix this problem please help. thank you

If you installed any mods without using OBMM then they may well have left bits of themselves behind. Check the contents of the download of the mod you suspect and make sure you don't have any left over files in Data from it.

No I haven't, it is the first thing i ever install after oblivion

I supose I could still look tho.

Edit: I checked, there are no files left over, and the author of the mod says it is quite unlikely that his/her mod is the problem, is there a way to ckeck for maby a left over script that was inserted into the game that wasn't taken back out?

Your problem is most likely a load order conflict. I had a similar problem a few months ago with a loud boom sound every couple of seconds. I have also read on the Bethesda forums of someone with the same problem.

I would advise downloading BOSS and get your load order optimised, it fixed the annoying noises for me, I think it will help you too.

unfortunately, I have already tried that, the problem still persists. While this could still be the case, due to the fact that BOSS is not all knowing, it seems unlikely.
