Baraka
I was absolutely astounded that they have allowed Khajiits (and I would imagine Argonians) to wear shoes & boots....I always start with a Khajiit as my first character because they can see in the opening dungeons darkness. I decided as I began that I had had enough of the bestial-exemption from footwear, so I opened TESCS for Oblivion, determined to just pick an armor style & I was going to make new FEET for my Khajiit that would be retextured to look like the boots of the armor I picked. Well.....am I glad that I tried all the armor on the Khajiity, including the boots - because to my delight - he wears them just like any humanoid character would. A great & wonderful improvement!!!!! Thanx Bethesda! BTW-I went with the glass armor & the Mithril .... which I will probably both retexture at some future date. Also, my hubby Cain discovered that his character can teleport anywhere by just clicking on the map that so easily opens ..... no more need for teleport rings or other devices of magical conveyence. He also said he would no longer need a horse since the bandits, etc. seemed to attack the horse right away as an attack MO but later he amended that thought because as your horse matures, he will fight with you by kicking his hooves at the enemy which is a pretty handy aide in a fight. northLion
That's not exactly new.. Khajiits could wear boots and helmets in both Arena and Daggerfall.I did like the Khajiits in Daggerfall.

Indeed. It's sort of sad how Morrowind is the first Elder Scrolls game for so many. As I recall, Khajiit were more like humans with slight cat features, not cats that walk like humans. But things change. For now, horray boots!
Stampede
Khajiits in Morrowind were a different sub species to their more humanoid cousins in Daggerfall. Seeing as we have so many ethnic sub categories for humans and elves, you can assume the same goes for other races.
Daethar
You learn something new every day, I guess :) It makes sense, too. Add to that how they were treated more like beasts in Vvardenfell. Alright, now I feel I should say that the map "teleporting" she mentioned is in fact just faster travelling, it does take time, and as I understand it is the shortest amount of time it would take you to possibly get somewhere (i.e. horse and speed skill matter)
imahoot
Unless you have no interest in anything but the main quest (then I'd recommend you stop playing now), I would strongly suggest you walk to somewhere at least once before you fast travel there. I walked from the Imperial City to Skingrad and than to Kvatch, and I must've found 20 or so dungeons/shrines/neat places to go. It's really not that bad, but if you're wearing heavy armor, it might take a while as that stuff slows you down (so run nekkid or carry some clothing :P ).
