theron09
I'm new to oblivion modding and am having problems getting mods to work. The only mod that I've had successfilly work so far is the realistic environmemtn mod. So far I've tried several popular mods, and none of them work other than the previously mentioned. I'm using the mod manager to create omods and the mods show up as data files in the launcher. Help me plz!?!?
Darthlvlaul
Hey welcome to nexus, now just so you know I don't use OBMM ATM but I believe I have read somewhere that not all mods work with it,I could be wrong tho.But the popular mods should definitely work.Have you tried playing the mods without OBMM? Branimirzg
So...you created OMOD's and you did activate them in obmm, right?
bben46
OMODs must be activated using OBMM in the right side panel. Then an esp will show up in the left panel. (unless the mod does not have an esp) When you have OBMM you don't need to use the data screen in the game, just the left side mod list in OBMM. When you exit OBMM, the mod list, and load order are saved and passed into the game. Many mods will still require the latest patch v1.2.0416. Or OBSE or some other mod to work. Be sure to check the read me for each mod to see what the requirements are. And, if you use Vista or Win7For Vista related problems such as UAC, Check here: http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=262.
theron09
Originally, I tried to install the mods without using obmm. I noticed that three of the mods that I downloaded (Glenvar Castle,Castle Seaview, and Tyrael's Armor) didn't work, while the mod for natural weather did. So I decided to reinstall the game and use obmm. I believe that I went through all the proper steps within the manager, and all the mods showed up in the lists of data files within the oblivion launcher. When I reinstalled, I also updated to the current patch from the elderscrolls.com. For whatever reason, the three mods that I mentioned didn't appear in the game. theron09
I fixed it! Here the patch didn't install right earlier today. As soon as I reinstalled the patch and entered the game, everthing was in its proper place! Thanks everyone for your input.
