PROJECT: DESTINY

I feel its about time to have a large pre war american missile command base.

 

What i'm thinking about is a multi-linked area of what you would expect a national command grid in one bunker to be. Heres what i came up with.

 

History: PROJECT DESTINY, america's answer to a incoming communist threat miles of underground tunnels and bunkers to control america during a world wide war on home soil, Soon to be completed 2080. (Yea it sucks but i'm working on it)

 

Surface: Medium sized destroyed military base, your looking at some destroyed buildings prehaps an armoury and the PROJECT DESTINY lift to the bunker itself. You want the feel that america just went "OMFG WE ARE BEING BOMBED" some trucks that look like they have just pulled up outside the bunker with some skeletons and the odd rifle around the place. 'To look like they just went S**T and started grabbing rifles' Oh and we want an officer who appears as if he just got out of his car and running towards the bunker to have a nice little keycard on him ;)

 

Surface - INSIDE BUNKER: Ok we are inside the main building on the surface. I'm thinking a security desk that has a nice little button behind it that opens a door leading to an elevator (Such as in Operation Anchorage) that is sealed and requires a keycard to activate. Well you renember the officer outside with a keycard? Theres your answer Wallah we are going down 200ft to, PROJECT DESTINY

 

Level One: Righty we just hit floor one. I'd expect some sort of security desk followed up by a corridor filled with activated turrets that do some awsome damage (renember you'd expect the president to be hiding in here) followed up by three more elevators (Leading to STORAGE, ADMIN, COMMAND CENTER) Ding dong going down!

 

STORAGE: Welcome to fallout 3's biggest armoury! in this room we'd be hoping to find a massive armoury filled with 9mm pistols up to Fat Man's. We'd want this area to be coated in everything we like to assoiate with war, armour, weapons, medical and of course nuclear warfare all on display for our wasteland wanderer to die of shock at this magical sight, and at the back of this massive room? Why another elevator to "ProtoType and Alien Storage" I'll let you guess what goodies are in there.

 

Admin: Welcome to the home of the desk workers! corridor after corridor of offices and everything we expect to find in america's soon to be primary command! We are expecting lots of books, prewar ones. Terminals full of brain juice. And a large Cafe. And in the big office at the back? The supreme overlord of admins desk. Complete with hidden combat shotgun and a switch to open up a magical door in the closet behind it with a sign above it reading "Archives - CLASSIFIED" in here we are expecting lots of info regarding post apocalyptic america and Alien attacks. (Let your mind go wild)

 

COMMAND CENTER: Ding Dong we just arrived at America's national Nuclear and Ground warfare command center. I'd hope for it to be a big room lots of terminals ect, think of NASA's launch center then replace the countdown with "Requesting missile launch codes" and your rolling prehaps even a few bits where the room seals itself, sirens go blazing and you hear a few missiles launch. (Abit like Fort Constintine) We could be expecting anything from this new state of the art command center. And below the big bosses is a lovely keycard for yet another door leading out of this wonderland to another elevator, Going down? ----> PRESIDENTIAL CHAMBERS: well what can i say board room for the generals and the president prehaps a few offices and most importantly some stairs going down into a caved in corridor with the half visable sign above it "PROJECT: ENDURANCE" a few construction signs and a terminal speaking about how amazing it is working with lolpwn technology held within. What a shame its all caved in. Damned Nukes.

 

 

Well that sums it all up this is just an idea of course it could be developed personalised ect ect but its up to people. I myself am working on a version which is going painfully slowly but apart from that its open to all. The idea of this is a almost ready bunker full of intel ect and ready to wage war but yet to recieve its workforce. Untouched by nuclear war within you'd expect clean corridors well lit area's no booby traps ect ect. Just gun turrets and sentry bots activated to protect the bunker in its darkest hour. God Bless America.

 

Quest Idea's: Maybe the brotherhood are trying to gain access to the bunker when you come along and after some lengthly discussion you find out they are trying to breach the main door and go find that massive stockpile of normal and highly advanced weapons and armour that they need to win the war against the enclave. Who knows? they might just want it as a new hangout spot.
