Need help please.

A friend downloaded a pre-set/head morph of a male elf called Belial, but she can't find a required mod.. We checked the nexus and it doesn't have it. The mod is Wolf pack of face tattoos, and it was given as found on the nexus site. If someone knows where to find it, or can help in any other way, it would be appreciated. Without it the man's face is blue instead of the pinkish tone it should be. (like the other elves). We would love to make an elf with this morph. I'm not sure if that is the correct term either. Thank you in advance if you can help. If it's any help, I think this was made by the late Spidercat the morph that is. and it was her recommendation for the tattoos.

Yes I think this is the one. Thank you patdc. Only I think I may have trouble with it as, as far as I can tell, you need to be able to use toolset, and I'm no modder and don't know the first thing about it. I can edit chargens but that's all. Thank you all the same. I've downloaded it anyhow and maybe I can find someone who knows something about that part of it, although that may be a problem in my little country town here in Aus.

Ok I had some time to check this out. You need a Tattoo called Uh_tat_akela_0t that isn't in the file one solution you can try is to use another tattoo. If you copy the tattoo Uh_tat_wildspirta_0t and rename it Uh_tat_akela_0t in the Wolf_pack folder the preset in the Character creator will work with a slightly different tattoo.

Hope this helps Pat

Thank you very much Pat. That worked brilliantly. I will let my friend know as well. Once again I thank you. Also could you tell me how to put another head morph in so that both show the second one is called Siolun, also by Spidercat. I tried to put them both in but Siolun overrides Belial. I know it has something to do with load order, but I don't know what I have to do to make them both show. If you could help I would be grateful. Thank you Moonmaiden37.

No! No! No! There's no such thing as "load order" (in the BethSoft sense) with the DA-series. :armscrossed:

For Character Creator (CC) mods, you must integrate a mod's "chargenmorphcfg.xml" file with the ONE version the game can use.

Add your first CC mod and everything works fine. But when you just "add" another, it will wipe-out any existing one.

You can do the integration manually, (it's just a ".xml" file) but that is an error-prone exercise at best.

Or you can use Terra_Ex's outstanding utility "CharGenMorph Compiler".

These pre-sets didn't come with a Chargenmorph. I know how to use that, and how to edit it. So thanks Thandal. If I can't get them to play happily any other way, I'll just have to take it in turns to use them both. Thank you all for your help, and to all the modders who put a lot of time and effort into making these mods, especially Risibisi and ShepShy whose hair mods I love, and Dahlia Lyn too, but all need praise. I can't play the game any other way now. Thanks again all.

If the CC preset (".mop" file) uses resources (textures or models) that aren't in the vanilla game, then it still needs the entries for new ones added to the "cgmc.xml" to work properly. If you don't compile into a single one, the last one you place in your "\override" folder will wipe-out the one that's there.

@Moonmaiden37 If you rename Em_cps_p01 to Em_cps_p02 in the Siolun folder the Siolun mop will appear as the second preset .
I also have a tattoo I made awhile ago that is almost identical to the one for Belial . I've loaded into one of my Tattoo mod Wolf Brow tattoo you just need to change the name from Uh_tat_pdc_wolf_0t to Uh_tat_akela_0t and remove the old version of Uh_tat_akela_0t.
@Thandal. In my experience then using a Mop file, aslong as you don't alter it then the resources it uses just need to be in the override folder. The chargenmorphcfg.xml only needs them if you alter the appearance of the Mop

Hi Moonmaiden,

I'm not sure if you know that:

When you want to edit a preset you don't need the toolset. You can change a lot of things with the ggf editor like new face textures, eyetextures, hairstyle, colours, tattoos etc.

You can find the pygff editor here: http://social.bioware.com/project/1936/

Maybe that helps you. :)
