Magister
Howdy, I am pretty amazed at how fast the mod community is working at putting out some really top notch mods so fast. Kudos to all who create them. I am curious about a few things however... Idea #1: In morrowind there was a fantastic mod that basically let you carry a house in your pocket, (sort of like the 2 extra dimensional ones we have now) ... I would love it however if these would modified so that they were more like the morrowind ones... Ie: - Dummies to put armor / clothes on so you can see how suits look, or simply for some cool decorations- Lots of Weapon racks / chests- Pref 1 floor but very nice looking ... no dingy shack! lol- Vendor that will buy stolen items / recharge / repair w/ a minimum of lets say 10-15k gold in stock. (Please note that any stolen items sold to this vendor would need to increase your stolen loot sold that is tracked by the game)- A bed- 1 of every book in the game (for the lore fanatics) Idea #2: I love the chameleon spell, infact I have a ring that is pretty slick that boosts some nice stats has + feather and +20 or +25 chamelon on it that I like to wear all the time. However ... I find extremely annoying that I appear all "predator" like and A) can't see my weapon when attacking and b) can't see myself when in 3rd person It would be a fantastic mod (much like the no persistant glow effect mod) that could remove this effect from your character so that you could still see yourself ... but keep the chameleon effect so npcs/mobs couldn't see you. I am not sure if it's possible, but I'd gladly buy a case of beer for the guy that is figures out how to do it lol. (Canadian beer, none of that wimpy american stuff hehe) Idea #3 I am wondering if it's possible to create something that can remove old / useless quest items from your inventory? Example: The quest where you had to go find the mad stone, there is a tablet with orders on it that appears in the same display case as the madstone when you complete the quest ... Silly me, I stole them both back (the tablet was worth 200g so I figured I'd hawk it) unfort. you can't get rid of it as it says it's a quest item, even though the quest is already completed. There is also a viper ring, and a log book from the lonely watchman quest and a few others that are cluttering up my inventory that I would love to get rid of. Heck doesn't even need to junk them, just let me drop them in my house or something lol. Idea #4 KEYS! ... I don't know about you all, but I collect keys ... I pick pocket EVERYONE lol, I have a massive collection going which is just brutal to scroll through. A most excellent mod I would like to see is a "key ring" basically a container that sits in your "key" section of your inventory that holds all your keys so when scrolling down you see "Key Ring" but you can open it and all your keys are inside. It would need to still allow the keys to function, as well as all new keys to automatically go into it. I am not sure if that is possible, but man it would be a great mod :) Idea #5 Finally .. my biggest pet peeve and most wanted mod of all ... INFINITE - MARKABLE - MAP POINTS! I find it most distressing that I have only a single map marker I can set in game, and to make matters worse I can't even leave a note as to what it is! I would so love an infinite set of map markers that I can shift_click to set on the map and jot a little note, maybe lets say 10-12 characters long (font would need to be pretty small I think). Would be very handy for marking the locations of all the N.Roots I have found (finally got the last 40 for grand .. better not need more lol) or for the few locations that don't show up on the map when you find them (such as the smugglers cove behind anvil castle) Or heck just to mark all the locations of those rune stones or the nine divine wells / magic recharge wells. I am quite amazed the dev's didnt add that in themselves ... for such a large map with so many things I would think that would be a no brainer! :) Anyways I think thats about it for tonight. Cheers, Magister. **EDIT #6 Just remembered *chuckle* ... I see alot of mods concerning weight. At first people were just giving you +feather and stuff, then people started changing certain armor / weapons (elvish and mithril) normal weight.. then someone got smart and made a mod that changed the way your str effected your carry weight ... However, my idea would be to combine the carry weight mod with a mod that just slashed the weight on all the heavy stuff (ie: cuirass', 2h weapons, etc) so that you no longer got +72 lb items. Let's say for example: All weapons weighed in at a range of 2lbs(any dagger) to 15lbs (big 2h hammer)All armor weighed in at a range of (3lbs for gloves, 6lbs for boots, 4lbs for helms, 10lbs for legs, 15 for chest) Because I mean lets face it ... with the sheer amount of drops you can get from a single decently populated dungeon even if your max carry was 1500+ you probably still couldn't carry it all at default values. They just weigh WAY WAY too much.
