Please help about OBSE

I try to use some mods. But they requires the latest version of OBSE. I have downloaded it but when I try to open oblivion by obseloader it tells me:

You have an unknown version of Oblivion. Please check obse.silverlock.org to make sure you're using the latest version of OBSE, then send an email to the contact addresses listed in obse_readme.txt if this version is not supported in the latest release. (CRC = A85E9BD8)

My oblivion version is 1.0.228. Which OBSE version should I use? Please help me

I try to make CE weapons by using mods. I one member of this site advised me to use conduit magic, enchantment mastery and enchantment enhanced mods I have downloaded and enabled them by using oblivion launcher. And what must I do then to create CE weapons please if anyone knows HELP me :ohmy:

Yar, that's not a good start. It should be 1.2.0416. You should update with the latest official patch.

 

If you've got Shivering Isles installed make sure to use the Shivering Isles patch (not both)!

Bben's Patch Advice

 

If you got your game through a download such as D2D, You have to go to them for any patches. The ones at the official site will not work because of the D2D copy protection. Programs like OBSE will probably not work because of the D2D copy protection. There is a special OBSE for the Steam version though. If you have a pirate version, sorry about your luck. Don't be so cheap, buy the game.

 

If you have the Game of the Year version, you don't need a patch as long as you have installed Shivering Isles. For some reason, Beth put the Oblivion Patch in the Shivering isles install instead of the Oblivion install.

 

To find what version you have, look in the lower left corner on the loading screen. If it shows v1.2.0416 you already have the latest patch.

 

You only need to install the latest patch, v1.2.0416, all of the stuff from earlier patches are included.

 

If you have Shivering Isles, DO NOT use the Oblivion patch, ONLY use the latest Shivering Isles patch. All of the oblivion stuff is included. There is only one English version SI patch for both US & UK versions.

 

If you DO NOT have Shivering Isles, use only the latest Oblivion patch for the language version on your original install disk.

 

Be sure to get your patch from the official Bethesda site where they have FREE patches for every language version, There are 2 English versions, UK & US be sure to get the one that matches your disk.

I bought this game but I think it's pirate version.

Please tell me exactly which patch I must install. I use russian version. And I haven't installed Shivering Isles patch.

You gave me link of offical patches thank you but which one I can download please help.

And one more thing which OBSE version do you recommend? I have tried 0015, 0017, 0017a, 0017b and 0018 beta 4 but all of them didn't work. Please help

Pirated version might be it. If I were you, I'd get the regular version of the game on either Steam, or in retail. OBSE is compatible with both versions.

 

You'd do best too, to not talk about piracy in these parts.

All of the official patches are listed on the Bethesda site. I did not see a Russian version there. I'm not sure if they make a Russian language version of Oblivion, although I have seen several Russian mods posted. I know there are several Russian sites dedicated to Oblivion, but I do not have a list. If you can find one, it may have more information.

 

As already said, Pirated versions are not to be discussed on this site.

Steam is a legal download site for Oblivion and all of the Oblivion DLCs. The steam version is also compatible with OBSE. Not sure if it is available in Russia or Russian language or not.

D2D (Direct 2 Drive) also has a legal download, However theirs is NOT compatible with OBSE due to their protection scheme.

I play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion The Knights of the Nine. But I searched there and the results were Oblivion Game of The Year Edition. Can you help me about that? What Must I do to download original english (or russian) version? Is it FREE?
