More than 4 party members

Hey everyone, I feel like a noob, but I've been trying to add more than 4 party members to my party with the developer console command and it is not working. I love the game so far, but I hate having to drop a character unless he is truly annoying and I was so excited when I saw that cheat was available. Anyone has any idea what I might be doing wrong?

You need to add the name of the npc (e.g. runscript zz_addparty Sten to add Sten) you won't be able to access their hotkeys so make sure they have usable tactics slots. Also, be careful not to exceed the party limit before starting quests that split up the team like the Circle of Magi quest. This deleted all the characters that were not party of the original 4 in my party and bugged one of the npc dream scenarios making that character unable to be awakened. After the quest I was able to restore the npcs using the addparty console command but all of their stats were reset as well as their equipment. So use it with caution.

just to clarify for other readers....

using this console command doesn't fully remove the party limit. say that you use this command, you wouldnt be able to use 5, 6, 7, etc members in your party, from then on.

Nym- as ajyl2k mentioned, there's times where this cheat can have bad results. Also, once your characters start to become more developed, you're gonna find out that your increased party size is overwhelming the opposition too easily. Unless you start putting your game into harder modes.
