xanarath21 Posted December 26, 2009 Share Posted December 26, 2009 I just picked up Fallout 3 Game of the Year a couple hours ago, and I'm trying to install the DLC's. When I put in the second disc, it's not reading the disc at all. Usually when i put a disc in it reads it automatically, but with this one it's not even trying to read. Burnagirl Posted January 3, 2010 Share Posted January 3, 2010 I had exactly the same problem .... and tried everything including Barlas advice above but still nothing.Finally I just opened the dvd drive and then closed it again (disk inside - obviously) and went and made some coffeeand when I came back there it was ...... the dialogue box asking to install the game.It seems to me that it takes a bit of time before before the damn thing is read by the DVD drive or the PC picks it up or recognises the GAME OF THE YEAR edition. Burnagirl Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 Also, and I dont know why, but when I loaded THE GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION on WINDOWS 7 (the same disk I picked up the time lag with when I installed it on VISTA), my PC picked it up in about aquarter of the time ..... around 1 to 2 minutes.
