Frequent crash to desktop during play. Please help !

Hi everyone, I'd really like to thank anyone who posts here in advance for their help as I am a little clueless with this right now.

 

So, I am very new to modding and i decided to download a bunch for Skyrim for the first time, and well, after being like a kid in a candy store i started to realise that problems were developing in game. I have since read quite a lot about how to fix problems and what might be the most common cause of certain problems so i think this might be due to my load order.

 

Basically my problem is frequent crashing to desktop during play, it could be going into a menu, running along a pathway, or anything really, sometimes the game freezes to when a lot of fighting begins but that doesn't seem to be a big problem. I believe this may be due to my load order as I have just been using NMM to install everything and not really bothering with specific load orders, although i do follow author instructions when they are there.

I have also downloaded and installed through NMM a variety of other mods but cannot remember which ones as i deleted them. I have heard that these other mods can cause problems with the .ini files however i do not know how to restore these.

 

Am I screwed? Do I have to wipe my computer of all Skyrim data and reinstall the game completely and re-do the mods?

your loadorder looks to be outdated, do you use BOSS? If you do check that its v.2.3

 

no bashedpatch create one with WryeSmash

 

about the mods you deinstalled, no idear... without more info ,nothing i can tell you.

 

AOS.esp needs a bunch of patches to work without probs.

Yeah i just tried BOSS after i made a few adjustments myself and it says, 0 warnings, 0 errors, 3 unrecognised mods. The 3 being,

• arnima.esp Active
• NPC_Overhaul_V_1_.esp Active
• StaticMeshImprovementMod-DungeonsCliffsIceSkirts.esp Active

The Mods i deinstalled were safetyloader and shadow of morrowind.

 

I think there were some others but i really doubt they were the problem.

yep, thouse shouldn't be the prob.

 

arnima.esp <-- what mod is this?

 

NPC_Overhaul_V_1_.esp <-- this is it probably, because it is unrecognised, is it an AI-overhaul or faces?

 

StaticMeshImprovementMod-DungeonsCliffsIceSkirts.esp <-- needs to be loaded after your other StaticMeshImprovementMod.esp's

 

 

edit : you caan use BUM to create userlists so you don't have to do it manuel everytime
