crashing on save

i've finished the main questline as well as the shivering isles quests. now i want to play some quest mods, but after installing servant of the dawn, i'm unable to save my game anymore because it crashes during this process giving me corrupted saves. this occurs after i've completed my first task, retrieving an amulet from the blade in choroll. as soon as i begin my second task, escorting a witch back to the dawn temple, the game crashes everytime i try to save. i've tried quicksaving, normal saving, saving through console, but nothing helps. the problem persists even after finishing the witch task and getting the next one.

 

i'm at my wits end and hopefully someone will provide a solution for this. i mean it's kinda strange that it always happens at this particular point. i managed to save successfully after getting the witch quest, but as soon as i enter the area where her shack is located, oblivion crashes when i try to save my game. it just freezes during the saving screen.

123.esp is my merged patch. i'm also using: qtp3 redemized, detailed terrain and hgec body replacer. maybe i have to enable some specific bashed patch options or something like that. please help me guys!

update (sorry for double post): it seems like servant of the dawn wasn't responsible for this problem after all. i deactivated this mod and went back to a different savegame. i've installed JQ's Assassin Quest and after leaving SI and heading towards my second assassination mission, the game crashed on me again. same thing: freeze during the save screen. probably it's related to shivering isles.

 

is there a save way to deactivate SI completely after finishing it? maybe this will fix my problem.
