Edit existing follower mod: Disable lefthand/righthand spells?

Hello, this is my first post here on the forums and I haven't actually done any real modding for Skyrim.
I post this thread since I found an issue I would like to fix regarding (custom/mod) followers.

Some followers come equipped with 'default' spells that, for some reason, I cannot disable.
AFT can disable any -regular- default spells but varieties of hand-specific spells it seems baffled by (SparksLeftHand 40001 or SparksRightHand C96A1 for instance).
I went into development kit, loaded the follower mod in question (Sara.esp) and removed those spells from her spell-list (along with some other unwanted inventory items).
I then loaded up my save, disable/enable the follower.. no effect. FCF + HLP Sara => crash to desktop. AFT reset NPC + dismiss follower, fasttravel somewhere, FCF+HLP... ok fine, enter localcell of npc location and CTD again.
start brand new game, go to npc.. no CTD but she still has the spells (and unwanted inventory wares).

It isn't a read-only or other issue as subsequently reloading the mod in the creation kit does show the spells are no longer present in the actorinstance.
This specific actor however is of a custom race called 00Sararace which uses Nordrace as template, perhaps that has something to do with it not working? (I couldn't find anything that seemed relevant)
Perhaps I go the spell ids wrong? I got them from looking at the creationkit bu that was with only skyrim.esm and sara.esp loaded (maybe due to other mods the HEX values are shifted when I actually play?.. I do have some mods that add new/custom spells to skyrim)

I would really appreciate help on this subject, as I don't wish to spend days figuring out and learning all the ins and outs to the creationkit/skyrim modding just to fix this (seemingly small and stupid) problem.

update on bughunt:

I tried switching her load order all the way to the back, this fixed her inventory and equipped spells (they were finally gone yay!) but also broke her appearance to a completely different look.
I tried switching her load order all the way to the front, this fixed her inventory and equiped clothing but her spells still there.

I played around some more with disabling/enabling her in game in both scenarios and I think there must be two instances of her or something as I disabled her but she'd still be there.. when I clicked her again in console her ID had changed (?)

I will now proceed to disabling other follower mods to see if she's maybe duplicated in some kind of follower pack or something (I also changed her name for testing purposes and depending on load-order she would have old or new name so I figure she must be duplicated somewhere for that old name to still come up)

update: FIXED


Turns out ASIS was the offender.
Added her to AutomaticSpells.ini npc exclusions and that fixed it! the annoying spells were gone from her standards spells list in AFT and a disable/enable flushed her out and now she can't use em anymore! YAY!

Now to fix my other followers that have annoying spells I don't want em to use because I want em to be a different type of caster... I didn't know customizing my follower party would be such a hassle in Skyrim *sigh*
