Hey guys, I'm starting a new playthrough and was wondering if there are any Must Have mods for me to get, I'm looking for any good awesome mod, and are there any mods I must avoid?

I don't like Lighting Mods.

I usually don't use Enbs.

I like follower mods.

I don't care much for mods to make skyrim more realistic, how ever I do like Skyrim looking Beautiful.

That's it. Thanks.

btw I am constantly deleting and adding mods.

It would be easier to make recommendations with a clearer idea of what sort of mods you are looking for and (if known) what sort of playthrough you are going to be doing. Also for compatibility concerns do you have any core overhauls that you're planning on using? I notice SkyRe in your list above which will make compatibility an important issue to consider.

Anyway, here are my personal must have mods. I run a lot of mods and change them fairly frequently, but these are the ones that I seriously would find it hard to play without.

SkyUI - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/?

I don't think I could play skyrim anymore without SkyUI. I occassionally forget that this is a mod and not built into the original game

SMIM - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/?

Stops me from feeling like I'm playing it on a console and makes the graphics a lot better. Really improves the game's original meshes.

Windsong - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52322/?

Makes the characters look actually human (or elf... whatever).

Convenient Horses - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14950/?

This mod made me actually use horses whereas before I completely ignored them.

Ralgas Armoured Husky Follower - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52006/?

Skyrim is too lonely without a pet dog and Ralgas is my favourite.

Frostfall - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11163/?

This mod spends more time annoying me than anything else... and yet without it, I might as well install a tropical skyrim mod because it doesn't feel like a real frozen wasteland without it.

Immersive HUD - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3222/?

Another one that I forget isn't part of the original game.

Wearable Lanterns - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17416/?

I run a lot of lighting mods which make Skyrim look great, but now a light source is necessary. It's this or cast candlelight every few minutes.

Realistic Needs and Diseases - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26228/?

Much like Frostfall this mod is a constant annoyance... but without it Skyrim wouldn't feel real.

A Quality World Map with roads - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4929/?

With my lousy sense of direction, this map is a must have. Before getting this mod I'd travel everywhere in straight-lines following the quest marker and have to climb any mountains in the way, now I can find the road.

I wouldn't say that there are any mods that you have to avoid. Certainly be careful about anything that's hard to uninstall and consider compatibility when planning your mods. For me, personally, I'll always avoid lore-breaking mods. That's not a concern for everyone though.

I have SkyUi, I don't want Windsong ( I don't need it ) Frostfall is a big no for me, I have iHud, I don't need Convenient Horses, Ralgas Armoured Husky Follower looks interesting :D I used to have wearable lanterns, When I get realistic lighting I'll get it.

Thanks :), I'll put more detail for what i'm looking for.
