Terrible mistake: Leveled enemies

Well you can reduce the challenge by visiting all the areas when you're a low level as the level of the enemies is set when you enter the area for the first time. Although I found it isn't needed as save for archers in denerim pretty much every mob can just be pulled round a corner and singled out save for bosses who normally have other mobs tied to their aggro range.

I honestly have not noticed too big a "handicap" due to the auto-leveling mechanic of DAO's enemies.

 

I'm currently at lvl. 15, and I find fighting Darkspawn and humans *easier* than back when I was lvl. 5.

 

If enemies don't use higher talents/spells, even if they're auto-leveled to your level, they're absolutely no match for you, because YOU will definitely be using those higher talents against them. So they must use those talents.

 

Unless what you want is a boring progression where later enemies are only better because they have higher hps and damage, but don't do anything differently, and just use normal attacks all game long.
