DSoS Posted December 29, 2009 Share Posted December 29, 2009 CTD's everyone's had them, but they shouldn't be persistent... Anyway, I'm walking around, and bam CTD. Its not everywhere but it seems to be maybe every 8 to 10 cells it CTD's. If I ctd, I can load the game wait/sleep 48-72 hours can continue and I ctd at the same spots. I know its a load order issue or mod conflict, but I just can not figure it out. :( I DO and have used BossI've use Wrye Bash, and patched the mods, carefully making sure to use what I'm supposed to use. I patch after any and ALL mod installs. I only install one mod at a time, at the moment, I have 90 mods, and another 100-150 waiting to be installed. I'm using all the newest versions of all the mods listed, including OOO, MMM, Frans, WarCry, FCOM (using CorePC's uFCOM for the MMM 3.1) I'm at wit's end on the CTD's I can't step foot into the wilderness without having them. In the wilderness I can get from 4-15 ctd's per hour. In cities I have NO ctd's that I have noticed. I just don't know what to do anymore. I've went through with FCOM's Expanded Load Order and it seems to match up fine. (one crash that I can think of that has happened several times, is in West Weald, just a little West of the Abandoned house there. ( I was headed to the First Spire of The Lost Spires) I have Ruin as a companion, so I thought maybe it was him, so I left him at home, and went there by myself and it still ctd's. I'll remove the entire install, and see what happens, right now. and I'll get back to you on it. DSoS Posted December 30, 2009 Author Share Posted December 30, 2009 I completed deleted ALL RTT files, repatched started new game in prison cell, back to the Isolated House in West Weald, headed towards Priory of the Nine. Entered the cell of PoTN and guess what....CTD So I i loaded OB back up, went into the Isolated House, saved. Exited OB, using Wrye Bash I hid the KoTN files. Repatched, loaded saved game, waited 7 days (I have spawn time of 5-days) and after the 7-day wait. Headed to where PoTN would be at, and NO CTD. I walked about maybe 5-7 cells north of PoTN and around the area surrounding PoTN I haven't reloaded RTT yet, I'll try that in a bit. But why would KoTN cause CTD's like that? billypnats Posted December 30, 2009 Share Posted December 30, 2009 Oh yea btw, the real way to actually find the culprit behind CTDs is to actually deactivate all of the mods and then dreadfully reactivate them one by one to see if it works. If I were you, I'd disable 1/5 of all the mods one at a time, if it works, then you know the bad mod is in the 1/5 batch of mods that you deactivated. Yes, I know that crashes are common for modded OB, and even for non-modded OB. But this is the worse I've ever had OB to crash. The last time i had OB installed I had roughly the same mods (actually a lot more than now) and I only had a max of 2 or 3 crashes per hour (and that was the OOO crash problem or something like that) hmmmm anyway, I'm back to banging my head on my desk until I can figure something out If anyone else has other ideas please let me know :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
