Isharu
Alright we all hear about how Oblivion Script Extender doesnt work with direct2drive copies blah blah. Well i found a simple solution to said issue. Find out your oblivion version, and track down a nocd for it. I wont post the location of it due to its illegal nature however if you truely own a copy of oblivion you shouldnt feel too guilty tracking one down. After you activate your oblivion and install shivering isles. Patch it with your versions nocd then run the obse launcher. So far everything runs smoothly, however only extended script ive tested it on is thieves arsenal. Sorry about only having one post, i really only joined to post this solution since every message board complains about how they cant get obse to work. And this is the only site i like enough (and oddly already had a user with) to share the info with. (FYI i grabbed a Beta nocd fix... i dont know if it matters) *Update* Deadly Reflexes works as well When using Midas spells (which dont require OBSE) with a digital purchase of the game... get version 990 seems to work unlike 990a or 991a
Isharu
*Bump* Sorry i figured i should provide alittle more assistance for people who arent quite computer inclined. Goto your Start bar... programs. bethesda, oblivion. Run the readme.txt to figure out what your version number is. (My shivering isles copy i dl'd from d2d was version 1.2.0416) *snip* Tadaa, no more version error on the obse launcher and the addons work. (As previously mentioned anyone trying to get midas's spells to work on their d2d copy. I found that 990 works fine... 990a froze oblivion everytime i casted on the aurum to make spells.******Although I understand the intention here, and recognize that there are legal uses for a no-CD version of a given .exe, mentioning a location to a site linked with piracy kinda crosses that line. Like most anything else illegal, not all cracked .exes are safe to use, or come from safe sources, so randomly searching may result in unwanted malware being downloaded, or simply not working. Unfortunately, due to the associations that these altered files have, they cannot be uploaded here, linked here, or openly suggested. The topic has been left active since I feel that this may be of help to those who bought D2D versions of the game and have later found out that they can't use some mods, but there are still certain lines that can't be crossed here. In any event, caution should be taken before looking for and downloading something like this, and the user should ALWAYS make a copy of their .exe before applying it. - Vagrant0****** Edited January 1, 2010 by Vagrant0

Hmmm, No-cd cracks are very shady. I have used one before and have had MANY problems, OB ctd on load, ctd randomly, mods not working, and much, much more. I don't recommend them at all, as well as a few other members here would say as well. Edited January 1, 2010 by Vagrant0
