dubiousintent
Glad to hear you both got your problems resolved. Re: Any easy way to move Steam to another drive/folder. There isn't one. Essentially you have to reinstall. But your save game files are stored in your "<Username>\My Documents\My Games\..." subfolder (exact path in the "Loose Files" reference above), regardless of where the Steam game folder resides, so they should be available once you are done. Of course, backing them up is always a good idea if you are worried about possible loss. Never knowing just what caused the problem is "par for the course". -Dubious- Edited August 30, 2015 by dubiousintent
DAOWAce
^ There are some ways. You could use the Steam Library feature and move the game folder over. Steam will re-detect it on launch. You could also symlink it if you know how to via command prompt, or use a simple tool like junction master. Save games and config are just in mydocs, so a simple move or copy would suffice. And yeah, as an IT consultant, there's just some things that have no real explanation... too many things.
