Honeybiscuit
I know you can copy multiple things at one time but how do you do it to precise detail? When you grad lets say a hall that has 6 sections it doesnt line up and thus defeats the purpose. Is there another way of coping multiple objects and line them up to specific alignments? Anubis Zombie
Sometimes Snap to Reference works but not really. Only on individual peices not so much on larger peices. One thing I've done is clone big chuncks and only make attachements between them, saves some time. Mostly I've gotta make all fresh blocks cause my damn castle is not on the straight north south grid so nothin quite lines up ever so i just got usta the wasteland not being square. Honeybiscuit
Yea I kknow. The 3d object is what i use religiously cause sometimes when you copy 1 and move with mouse it drops in the z which screws up the whole purpose. You know about ctrl and D dont you to copy or clone? Then never touch object cause it will cause to drop in z. You will learn where y,x,and z is heading after awhile but is fastest I think. The right z does a 380 depending on pitch of the upper y or x ( sounds like algebra). Then important click on any other object to set moved object. then repeat. If you dont do like this it will drop in z again. There has got to be away that can speed this TIME DEMON up.
pkleiss
Hold down the Shift key while pressing the Q key. The cross hair will turn red. Now move the crosshair over the piece you want to align to. The cross hair will turn white. Click the right mouse buttom. You have now setup the snap reference to the piece you want to align to and all your movements of other pieces (using sanp-to-grid) should not move out of alignment in the Z direction.
