David Brasher
There are many steps to making a shield. You have done some of them, but not all. In Blender you must make a new .nif model, unless you are retexturing an existing model. In Photoshop or Gimp you must make a new .dds texture. In Nifskope you must set the .nif model to have your new .dds textures. In the CS there must be a new shield item in your new .esp mod with a custom form ID. In the CS this shield must be set to use the new model you made in Blender or acquired in some other fashion. It sort of looks like your new model is not attached to your new item in the CS. Perhaps your new model is in the wrong directory. One different than where you told the computer to look for it.
Unavi
Are you retexturing or making a new 3d model for it? If you're modeling in Blender you should check this tutorial: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...ield_in_BlenderI don't think the problem is in the directory as the CS alerts when the directory is invalid (atleast for menu icons - - i presume it does for models too).Just an error in the texture would have this reactions as far as i know.
