MMM 3.7b3 CTD after i leave the sewer

Hi,

 

just as the title says, when i use Martigen’s Monster Mod 3.7b3 just as i try to exit the imperial sewers to the open world i get a crash to the desktop right after the loading screen ends.

i can get the older versions of this mod to work but not this one.

help would be AWESOME!!

Need some extra info.

 

What other mods are you using?

 

Might want to post your load order up too.

I've had that happen on occasion when starting a new character with that version of MMM. If I disable it I can exit the sewers.

 

Are you using a Bashed Patch? Creating a new Patch fixed the issue for me. I don't know what causes it, but when I upgraded MMM for use with existing characters everything worked fine.

 

I have separate Bashed Patches for every character since I use a Save Manager and each character uses slightly different mods depending on what I create them to be. Using OBMM I load whichever character I feel like playing and it's associated mods, including it's Patch.

 

If you don't have a Bashed Patch, which you should if using other overhauls, COBL and many others, download Wrye Bash and read up on it. In very basic terms what it does is create a patch that enables many other mods to work together without problems. In most cases it should be loaded last in your load order, although there are a few exceptions.

It looks a bit daunting at first, but if you read up on only the section you need it's pretty easy really. It also has many other tools that come in handy.

 

Also posting a load order of your mods as DSoS suggested would be a great help.

Hey,

 

What happens is, everything is almost perfect right up until i exit the sewers. When i exit the sewers i get a windows error message and the game closes back to windows desktop. Its really annoying because it happens with or with out other mods. this is the other mod i am using Francescos Leveled Creatures Items Mod. And also when i use this mod with Francescos mod the skulls from the dead you find underneath the Imperial City and through out the sewer are green as well as the heads of injured or dead enemies (Goblins, Rats) and when the Emperor gets assassinated he's hair goes green. I dont know if this is a completely different problem or if it has something to do with it. I don't know if the heads are like outside the sewers cause i haven't had a chance to get out.

 

Does the load order have something to do with the oblivion mod launcher or the Data files section. Because i don't know how to put them in the right order.

If you're using Fran's as well then you definitely need a Bashed Patch to sort leveled lists, graphic, inventories and more, so they work together.

 

Yes, load order is of utmost importance here.

 

Try BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software). It's not foolproof but will sort your mods for you according to what's known in it's database which is quite considerable. Sometimes you may get some Unknowns which you have to sort yourself, but as far as Fran's and MMM go it knows where to load these mods. Unknowns are usually new or little known ones that haven't made it to the list. It has been updated recently though.

Wrye Bash as I mentioned also has this function but OBMM is easier to use.

 

I've seen several posts recently about the "green" issue but I don't know the answer. I use OOO rather than Fran's so maybe it's an issue with Fran's and a Bashed Patch could fix this.

 

If you don't already have it I strongly advise you get the Unofficial Oblivion Patch.

If you have SI or any of the DLC's there are also Unofficial Patches for them. They all fix a multitude of bugs and other fixes in the vanilla game.

Hey,

 

thanks for all the info and links, but do you know if there is a better read me for the OBMM. Even though it looks easy i do really know how to use it properly. I just want to see if i can get Mart's Monster Mod 3.7beta3 to work first, then ill try and get it to work with Francescos. Were exactly do i start off with OBMM?
