CWardUSC
Have been using the Dragon Age Nexus ever since it went up, and it has been an invaluable tool for getting my modding fix. In the course of doing so I've noticed a couple curious behaviors of site functions. 1) On the file tracking feed page, there's the extremely useful option to "only show" certain things. I use this for File Updates, since it's a quick way to see which mods I use have received updates since last I checked. After clicking on 'Go' and having the list trimmed, the pages will expectantly reduce. You can then navigate to new pages within that "only show" sorted list using the dropdown box. However, if you try and navigate to a new page by clicking on the page number link to the left or right of the dropdown box, it will send you back to the full feed without sorting. If this is expected behavior I suppose that's understandable, and the dropdown box is more useful anyways, but it seems counter-intuitive to have the clicked links work that way. The problem that is if you don't notice it's doing this, and you were on Page 8 of the 'File Updates' sorted feed and then get sent to Page 7 of the full feed, you will miss a lot of pages in between as they'll be populated with things like more recent attribute changes. This is especially curious because the same behavior isn't exhibited by using the page clicks on a File Search sort. 2) On the Download/rating history page, the "Last Download" column appears to be reporting the First Download of that mod. I downloaded a new version of "Better Archery" a couple days ago, yet it's still at the bottom of my Download/rating history with 'Last Download' marked as December 3rd. If the column is intended to work this way, it's kind of redundant because it doesn't help to know when the very first time you downloaded it was, and then only for that month. It could be useful though if it showed last download, because then you can cross-reference your latest download time with the time on the newest mod files, and see if you need to update. Those are the only two things that come to mind as being the opposite of their expected behavior. My only other suggestion would be to allow collaborative file management if that isn't already the case. Not talking about SVN commits necessarily, though that'd certainly be handy, but if multiple 'users' can upload to the same 'file' it would be good for any team projects or compatibility efforts. Thanks for your work on the site and hopefully the new "elite" rating system and some of the ideas from the "Your thoughts on improving the site" thread will make their way onto the unreasonably long to-do list!
