Gorywall Posted May 20, 2014 Share Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) I'm trying to learn FNV modding but I can't figure out how to open my .DDS files with Nifskope (I'm Probably being uberstupid) I've looked up how to convert .dds files to .nif format but nothing. If anyone would please show mercy and show me how the hell to fix this problem that would be great. (P.S. nivea Posted May 20, 2014 Share Posted May 20, 2014 A .Nif is a 3D mesh, a .dds is a 2D texture. So for editing meshes you need a program like Blender (with .nif plugins).For editing a texture you need a program like GIMP, and make sure you download the .dds plugin.
