Jalex1
I thought it was a corrupt save so I hit new game and it still crashes at the loading screen, I just go this game too and it was working fine yesterday, I have mods on and I just edited the heights of the races, that worked yesterday too. I even played it without mods and it still crashed at the loading screen. btw I'm using an nvidia 8600
bben46
What did you change between "It works" and "It doesn't work" ? This can include changes to other things besides the game, such as a system setting, a driver update, a new program installed - or an old one removed, a microsoft update, a antivirus or firewall update, A hardware change - such as a new video or sound card. A program or file moved from one folder to another - even if it was not part of the game. As well as things like changing load order, adding or removing a mod, a change to the ini (through the options menu or manually) A change to any game setting while playing Here is an easy way to get back to a vanilla - totally unmodded Oblivion rename the data folder to something like oldata (the name really dosn't matter as long as you know what it is)Now create a new data folder and copy the following from your Oldata to the new data folder Contents of a clean install \data folder - Oblivion Only - NO shivering Isles Music (folder)Shaders (folder)Video (folder)Credits (text) Oblivion - Meshes.bsaOblivion - Misc.bsaOblivion - Sounds.bsaOblivion - Textures - Compressed.bsaOblivion - Voices1.bsaOblivion - voices2.bsaOblivion.esm Or Unmodified Oblivion data with Shivering IslesThis is the data folder with Oblivion & Shivering Isles installed. Before adding any mods. Music - FolderShaders - FolderTextures - FolderVideo - Folder Credits.txt - Text file, not neededDLCList.txt - Important - needed for Shivering IslesOblivion.esm - This is the main OblivionDLCShiveringIsles.esp - a dummy (empty)file, but must be here.DLCShiveringIsles-Meshes.bsaDlCShiveringIsles-Sounds.bsaDlCShiveringIsles-Textures.bsaDlCShiveringIsles-Voices.bsaOblivion-Meshes.bsaOblivion-Misc.bsaOblivion-Sounds.bsaOblivion-Textures-Compressed.bsaOblivion-Voices1.bsaOblivion-Voices2.bsa Now start a new game - if you try to load an old save that had mods it will probably crash. If it works, you have a mod problem. If it still locks up. You will need to reinstall. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=
